You will no doubt be getting a letter very soon from Pansy, Andy Weekes' mother, thanking you personally for your help with Summer Soulstice. But I thought I would also write to express the committee's praise for your efforts. Thanks to you not only did we make a profit of some several hundred pounds on the programme but it has become probably THE talking point of the whole event. In addition your enthusiasm in the final month of the lead-up gave everyone a big boost.
The next day when we were clearing up we didn't find a single programme left in the arena and calculate almost 2000 went home with people which is a great tribute to your work! We also have several boxes we set aside to send out to sponsors and people who couldn't make it to the event and of course next year it will be a great selling tool.
Despite the cold we are hoping to hand over a five figure cheque to Cherry Lodge in early September at our handover evening to which you will be most welcome and I'll keep you in the loop. I'm keen to get you creative guys on our side early on to get a 'look' and feel for next years event.
